1948
  • Alexandria Portland Cement Company (APCC) was established in Egypt.
1993
  • Beni Suef Cement Company (BSCC) was established in Egypt.
1997
  • 4M TITAN Silos was established by TITAN subsidiary.
1999
  • TITAN, in association with Lafarge, acquired 50% of the shares of the Beni Suef Cement Company.
  • Inauguration of the new terminal station in Safaga.
2001
  • Lafarge acquired Blue Circle Industries (BCD), owners of the
  • Alexandria Portland Cement Company, which accordingly became part of Lafarge.
2002
  • TITAN expands its joint venture with Lafarge to Alexandria Portland Cement.
2008
  • Acquisition of 100% of the joint venture business Lafarge-TITAN Egyptian Investments Limited (LTEIL) became TITAN Egypt Investments Limited (TEIL).
  • 4M TITAN changed its name to TITAN Beton and Aggregates Egypt (TBAE).
2010
  • Alexandria Portland Cement acquires Beni Suef Cement Company.
  • Beni Suef’s second production line commenced.
  • The International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank, became a shareholder in TE.
2012
  • Completion of an environmental project at the Alexandria Plant to reduce emissions below 10mg/m3.
  • Alexandria upgrade main ESP filter to baghouse to reduce dust Emissions.
2014
  • TE commits to actively support UNGC Network Egypt.
2015
  • Completion of Alexandria Plant social impact assessment study in collaboration with a local specialized NGO and local stakeholders so as to optimize our community engagement plans.
2016
  • Solid fuel energy self-sufficiency in Alexandria and Beni Suef Plants and start using alternative fuels.
  • Completion of ”Technology and Policy Scoping for a Low-Carbon Egyptian Cement Industry”, a Collaborative effort by a team of experts on behalf of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
2017
  • Alexandria reached 14% alternative fuel.
  • New product low-clinker cement (high slag).
  • Solid fuel internal storage in BSCC plant.
  • Beni Suef & Alexandria first complying plants in Egypt in NOx emissions.
2018
  • Alexandria Portland Cement capital increase.
  • Alexandria reached 18% alternative fuel enhanced by obtaining tiers derived fuel and used oils permit.
  • Alexandria cooler upgrade from electrostatic filter to the latest state-of-the-art bag filter.
2019
  • Alexandria implementation of the main solid fuel storage in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Alexandria water network revamping.
  • Beni Suef Cement Company capital increase.
  • TITAN Group acquired the minority stake of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) that the latter held in Titan subsidiaries in Egypt.
2020
  • Alexandria Portland Cement Company voluntarily delisted from Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX).
  • TITAN Beton and Aggregate Egypt capital increase.
