SUSTAINABILITY REPORTS
MAJOR PROJECTS
Our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility goes beyond compliance and is a voluntary pledge to make a positive impact on our local communities and enhance our footprint to the world around us.
Fighting the COVID-19 infection risk and building public confidence in the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines was one of 2021 imperatives. TCE has conducted awareness communication sessions and launched vaccination campaigns distributing COVID-19 vaccines to all direct employees and contractors with a total number of 1154, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the local health organization in Alexandria & Beni Suef governorates to ensure effective and safe vaccine distribution.
Alexandria Plant is adjacent to a residential neighborhood Wady El Kamar (WEK) with more than 60,000 residents. In late 2014, we implemented a social impact assessment study in collaboration with a specialized local NGO along with other local stakeholders to optimize our community engagement plans. The study resulted in proposals to improve living conditions in the area and create added economic and social value for neighborhood residents. Accordingly, one of TITAN Egypt top priorities for the local community positive impact is to continuously maintain the cleanness of their districts. In that view, we continue with two key actions in 2021: (1) Renew our annual contract with the ALX Sustainability Center for Development-SCD (NGO) to proceed with all the cleanness activities and trees planation of WEK. (2) In addition, we provide cleaning loaders and trucks to the Agamy district.
TCE strongly believes that we have a social responsibility to develop the soft and technical skills for undergraduate university students, to prepare them for the competitive employment market. TITAN Egypt aims to boost their knowledge and skills in areas that are not covered by their academic curriculum. For this purpose, since 2018, TITAN Egypt launched an academic-industrial collaboration with Alexandria and Beni Suef Universities with the participation of 195 students in 2021.
TCE sponsored this mega project due to the persistent need of Alexandria Plant neighborhood residents through our partnering NGO. The implementation was under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Sports Center serves around 40,000 of the neighborhood residents where they can enjoy practicing different types of sports as part of our contribution to the local community wellbeing activities.
TCE continues its efforts in supporting the welfare of our local communities. Among other activities, we have pursued with distributing Ramadan Food Bags to 3000 needy families, covering the medical emergencies and basic needs of the needy families, funding the local Women Council activities, and assisting in the marriage expenses of 25 orphans.
As a response to the persistent need to improve the status of the health care services in Beni Suef governorate during 2019, TCE partnered and signed the cooperation protocols with different external stakeholders in a project for the medical equipment to the public hospital in Beni Suef. The project was implemented in collaboration with external partners who are Beni Suef Directorate of Health, Sehetna Foundation and the Egyptian Group Company who offered equipment and facility services. The installation was finalized in June 2021 whereby TCE has equipped the hospital with the required facilities and medical devices.
TITAN Egypt has resumed its Annual Internship Program after two years of stoppage due to COVID 19 In 2022 a total of 111 undergraduates joined the program from different universities and various majors The program covered technical awareness sessions including Health Safety, Environment, Industrial workshops, plant tours and on job training aiming to enriching the technical and soft skills of the undergraduate students through experiential learning methodology, real working projects, educational classes and exposing them to TITAN values The program was fully developed and delivered by TITAN Egypt internal trainers and experts

In addition, the scholastic fees of 583 needy students were funded fully.
