Following the successful digital pilot implemented in Kamari and the roll-out that followed in all plants in Greece in 2020, our spare parts inventory optimization methodology has now successfully rolled-out at both of our plants in Egypt! In close cooperation with our Digital Center of Competence during 2021 and, after a deep ‘dive’ into 16 years of data, our teams in Beni Suef and Alexandria plants have now applied this advanced analytics methodology that enables us to identify the optimum inventory management policy for spare parts in our cement plants. This is an in-house, proprietary methodology which uses existing data to develop statistical algorithms and multivariate simulation and provide an optimum stock level for each spare part, thus minimizing the total cost of the spare parts and consumables available at our warehouses.
Both of our TITAN Cement Egypt plants, Alexandria and Beni Suef cement plants, as well as their attached quarries, have successfully accomplished the “Energy Management System ISO 50001” audits and are now certified for their Energy Efficiency Management Systems according to the international standard ISO 50001:2018. Energy efficiency is an essential part of our sustainability strategy and our de-carbonization plan. This certification comes as an important milestone for both TCE and the Group, contributing significantly to TITAN’s energy efficiency management target for 2025 to have 85% of its production covered by ISO 50001 or energy audits.
