Aggregates are coarse materials such as sand, gravel, crushed stone and recycled concrete are used as a raw material in cement and as a strengthening agent in asphalt and concrete. Aggregates differ in their physical, mechanical and chemical properties, granularity and hardness. The main use of aggregates is the manufacture of concrete or concrete products, like building blocks. Other applications include the construction of roads, railway tracks etc.
TBAE has an aggregates quarry in Attaqa in Suez Governorate that produces and sells aggregates for inter-company use as raw materials input to our ready-mix batch plants. TBAE successfully implemented the upgrade of Attaqa quarry, doubling its volume and offering a higher quality of aggregates. It has also started to sell to third parties for the first time, during 2019.
We supply a variety of high quality aggregates:
– Aggregates size 0 (used in cement blocks industries)
– Aggregates size 1&2 (used in ready mix industries)
– Aggregates size 3&6 (used in roads pavements foundation layers)
